We are currently seeking an experienced HVAC/R Service and Installation Technician to join our expanding team — someone who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and is motivated to grow within a trusted, family-run company.

Position Summary

As an HVAC/R Service and Installation Technician, you'll perform diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and full system installations for residential and light commercial clients.

This includes oil, gas, heat pump, geothermal, split systems, rooftop units, and refrigeration systems.

The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, able to read schematics, and comfortable handling both service calls and installation projects with professionalism and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain HVAC/R systems, including oil, gas, geothermal, split, and rooftop systems
• Complete full system replacements and new installations (ducted and ductless)
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on all HVAC system types
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
• Conduct preventive maintenance and efficiency checks
• Ensure code compliance and manufacturer specifications on all installs
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
• Accurately document work performed and materials used
• Collaborate with the office team and dispatch for workflow management
• Participate in monthly on-call rotation (minimum one week), with stipend plus hourly pay
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC field experience, including both service and installation
• Strong knowledge of oil, gas, and heat pump systems
• Experience with system replacements, mini-splits, and duct fabrication
• Familiarity with geothermal systems and refrigeration (a plus)
• EPA Certification (Required)
• Valid NY Driver's License (Required)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 40 lbs., work in confined spaces, and on ladders
• Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting and reading schematics
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Standard 8-hour shifts
• Rotating on-call weeks Monday to Sunday (1 week per month minimum required)
